Job Description

Newton’s Grove School has operated for 46 years and is a leading JK-12, student-focused university prep school in Mississauga. We are committed to educating the whole student in academics, arts, athletics, and citizenship. Our students embrace our values of Reason, Respect and Responsibility. Our expert and compassionate faculty and staff ensure inspired learning daily for over 500 students. Just 8 minutes from Pearson International Airport, our state-of-the-art facility is located adjacent to Paul Coffey Park, providing students with inspiring indoor and outdoor learning environments. Each year, our graduates earn an average of 5.5 offers of university acceptance and are prepared to succeed at university and beyond.

Over the past five years, our student population has grown by approximately 50 students each year, as planned based on our team and facility. We are poised to begin a third and final phase of renovation that will provide additional learning and gathering spaces for a student population of 900 students. This optimal number of students will ensure each student benefits from engaging choices in courses, extra-curricular activities and relationships.

To realize plans for growth, we have identified the need for an Marketing and Communications Administrative Assistant who will report to the Marketing and Communications Director. We are seeking a team member with energy, experience, and resourcefulness.

Job Description:

• Assist with developing, implementing and evaluating communication strategies and programs
• Social media management including managing comments on YouTube, Instagram, and other social media platforms
• Prepare and present social media and metrics and ROI reports
• Conduct market research, prepare, and present reports
• Develop and design marketing, educational, publicity and promotional materials
• Manage website content
• Develop and implement advertising campaigns across all social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube
• Work cross-functionally with the Leadership Team and members of staff and faculty, with external vendors, suppliers
• Write, edit, and proof short and long form content
• Support the marketing department and other departments with general office and administrative tasks as required

Required Skills and Capabilities

• Experience with graphic design software (preferably Canva), MS Office suite, marketing automation and email marketing tools (preferably Hootsuite and Mailchimp)
• Website experience (word press)
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities
• Knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Familiarity with social media platforms, their respective advertising platforms, as well as social media trends

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
